Amy graduated from Warren County Senior High School in McMinnville, Tennessee in 1991. She graduated from UTC in 1996, and with honors from the University of Memphis’s Cecil C. Humphreys School of Law in May, 2000. She practiced in Chattanooga for 4 years before joining Doug at Blackwell Law Offices in 2004. Amy is a board member of Legal Aid of East Tennessee, and is a member of the Cleveland Chamber of Commerce, Mainstreet Cleveland, and an active member of First United Methodist Church.

Doug graduated from Cleveland High School in 1990, and earned his associate’s degree from Cleveland State Community College in 1992. He then attended Middle Tennessee State University in Murfreesboro, Tennessee, where he obtained his Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees in Criminal Justice. He graduated the University of Memphis’s Cecil C. Humphreys School of Law in May, 1998, and practiced in Chattanooga for 4 years before returning to Cleveland and starting Blackwell Law Offices in 2003. Doug is a member of Cleveland’s Sunrise Rotary Club, the Cleveland Chamber of Commerce, MainStreet Cleveland, a board member of The Family Resources Agency, a member of the Cleveland March of Dimes Golf Tournament Committee 2005 and an active member of First United Methodist Church, including service on the Church Council and Chairman of the Witness and Evangelism Committee.
